I suggest you check reputable sellers, fake laptop fans are now becoming the norm and so as screens, keyboards and ac adapters so keep the old part for comparing the two because part of ordering replacement parts is a diagnosis, and a failed part is only going to make your diagnosis go wrong. here is a video I made that explains one part. it was for a HP G72 fan that was described as original and 100% tested and working and quality, the issue is I can’t return it because to test if it actually works I have to hotwire it to the usb or use the same exact laptop with a known working fan but what are the odds of the same laptop being in my workshop the same time?
As you can see the fake fan was more expensive than the original one. this doesn’t neccessary mean that all fake fans don’t work, but the chances of a fake fan not working or not running as the original is quite high, in some laptops for example won’t accept replacement fans because they run at 1 to 5 rpm slower like the HP G7 series.
